As this year marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Russia, President Xi Jinping upon invitation paid a state visit to Russia and attended the 23rd St. Petersburg International Economic Forum from June 5 to 8, 2019, which upgraded the comprehensive strategic partnership of cooperation between China and Russia and opened up a new chapter in bilateral relations.

From June 3 to 7, President Qiu Yong of Tsinghua University led a delegation to Russia to further promote educational, scientific research and cultural exchanges and cooperation between Tsinghua University and Russian universities, opening a new chapter in exchanges and cooperation between Tsinghua University and Russia in the new era.

In this context, on June 10, local time, the 2019 ceremony to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Russia was held in Moscow, capital of Russia. Miao Yingwei, Senior Vice President of THTI and President of Beijing IES Holdings Co., Ltd., attended upon invitation this event, had an interview with a Russian television and delivered a keynote speech at the China-Russia Young Innovators and Entrepreneurs Forum.


At this event, Miao Yingwei, as the representative of China's innovation and entrepreneurship platform, had meetings and discussions with the leaders in Russia’s seed accelerators, investment and venture capital foundations on the opportunities of entrepreneurship and investment in the global market.

Miao Yingwei delivered a speech titled "Opportunities and Challenges for Chinese Innovators and Entrepreneurs" at the forum. Talking about "mass innovation and entrepreneurship", he mentioned the following. In China, 18,000 new enterprises are established every day, ushering in a boon for enterprise-level services. At the same time, with the continuous evolution of Internet technology, a global ecological platform is created. By the end of October 2018, the number of registeredprivate equity funds reached 26798, with a scale of 7.64 trillion yuan, and the number of venture capital funds was 6284 with a scale of 0.86 trillion yuan. The conclusion is that mass entrepreneurship can promote employment, and innovation will promote industrial upgrading.
